This Baluch kilim was handwoven during the 19th century in Afghanistan.
It is composed of various bands of graphic and well-contrasted geometric patterns that utilize a simple but effective palette which is reflective of classic Baluch aesthetics. The bands alternate between plain kilim weave and a carefully executed weft float technique that lends texture and depth to the piece enhancing its visual interest. 
In very good condition, with several small repair around the central field. Flatwoven with a loose handle.
