SANJABI KURD features a field of graphic hexagons filled with stylized protection symbols in rich tones of blues, reds, greens, coral, aubergine, gold, brown and ivory on a lively indigo ground. Each pair of hexagons is separated by bands of geometric shapes added in perfectly imperfect asymmetric fashion giving the composition a dynamic visual rhythm while the vibrant borders add welcomed balance and refinement. If you look closely you will find the inclusion of two camel like figures

Phulkari is a tradition of folk embroidery from the Punjab region that encompasses both India and Pakistan. It is composed of colorful silken thread atop rough cotton cloth. Bagh is a particular type of Phulkari where the silk embroidery thread completely covers the cotton making the base barely visible. Baghs were often intended to be worn for special events like weddings.

ANTIQUE VERAMIN It features an allover field of four colorful latchhooked diamonds each filled with a memling gul against the deep surmah or blue/black ground and accentuated by striking lightning shaped zigzags. It utilizes a palette of well contrasted, saturated tones including red, orange, multiple blues, greens, brown, and a vivid white that really pops in both the main border and the inner lightning strikes. This Baluch rug was handwoven during the early 20th century in Afghanistan.

It features two octagonal Turkmen guls on a red ground and framed by a border of hourglass and cruciform shapes. Rich saturated tones and nice interplay between light and dark. It has original kilim ends on top and bottom that are each embellished with their own weft float pattern. This balisht has it's original kilim back still intact and which employs thick stripes of red, orange, brown and ivory.

This Tabriz rug was handwoven during the early 20th century.

It features an all-over design of penguin-like botehs waddling row by row in alternating directions. The botehs shift slightly in proportion and placement giving the composition a wavy feel. Adding to the funky feel and nature of the rug the weaving style begins to change near the top from a crisper weave to a looser one while the colors used slowly begin to shift as the new weaver presumably began to run out of the original yarn.
