It features a diamond lattice design in black and gray on dramatic red ground. that appears solid at first glance but with very nuanced shifts in tone. The lattice breaks near the center adding interest and individualism to the piece. Small moments of isolated orange have a similar effect. In a rare squarish size.

This Boucherouite rug was handwoven in Morocco during the end of the 20th century. Boucherouite rugs are made using recycled fabrics, giving them their distinctive multicolor and shaggy pile. This funky rug features a diamond checkerboard pattern in black, ivory, red and turquoise. The lovely free flowing nature is accentuated by the changing proportions of the diamonds and uneven use of the vibrant tones (especially the turquoise!)
