Overshot American Coverlet a grid of squares that utilize red and green wefts over an exposed white warp to create various patterns including stripes, diamonds and snowflakes. The grid is surrounded by a border of thin patterning on three sides. The top unbordered section is seamed with cloth indicating the original coverlet was likely longer.The addition of borders showcase the weaver's proficiency and skill. Vintage Mola cloth handmade by the Guna (previously spelled Kuna) people of the San Blas Islands of Panama.

Mola is a reverse appliqué technique, similar to the technique used in quilting but using multiple layers of different-colored cloth that are first sewn together before a design is created by cutting away different layers. These cloths are traditionally made in pairs to be worn on the front and back of women's blouses.

This colorful pieces features a fragment that includes various part of a tree or floral motif as well as multiple borders including matching minor borders of flowering vines and a main border of rosettes and leaves. Very finely woven with crisp rendering and nice contrast.

This vintage patchwork quilt was crafted in North America during the middle of the 20th century.


It features patch-worked grid composed of squares. Each square is formed of well balanced triangles of either colorful flannel patterns or more open dotted and striped cream ground patterning. The squares have been pieced together wondefully and the composition can be read many different ways that is accentuated by its perfectly square dimensions.

This vintage patchwork quilt was crafted in North America during the middle of the 20th century.


It features patch-worked squares of various fabric in rows of serrated stripes organized on the diagonal. Many of the squares feature there own detailed patterning which adds interest and touch of fun! Much of the stitching has been completed by hand included large visible running stitches in black giving the piece a kantha-like feel.

This Coptic textile was woven in Egypt or the Levant in the 4th - 5th century AD. 

This large fragment has a highly intricate design rendered in the two classic tones associated with Coptic textiles, purplish brown and wheat. It features a central band of octagons primarily filled with lion-like figures except for one central octagon filled with two figures with extraterrestrial-like features. The central is flanked by two borders full of overlapping and intersecting anthropomorphic figures.

This Coptic textile was woven in Egypt or the Levant in the 7th century AD. 

It features a two confronting birds beak to beak surrounded by remnants of a circle made of white dots on a dark blue/green ground. It is flanked by borders of intersecting blocks in blue, yellow and green. There is a suggestion of latchooked roundels on the remaining bottom section of the fragment.

This lovely chapan is crafted from green wool. It is embroidered with an array of tones including black, red, white, orange and purple around its perimeter and up the sides. The tendrils of a tree of life or other plant form are found aroudn the slits on both sides. A red printed floral liner adds another element of interest.

This Antique Navajo rug was handwoven in the Southwest USA during the first quarter of the 20th century.

This striking rug features jagged concentric lines vibrating from a small central diamond. The sharp angles and mottled tones of gray, brown, and red give the lines a dimensionality and they appear to float on the mottled gray inner field and variegated brown outer field. Framed by an inner dentil border and a red and brown serrated perimeter that has a flame like quality.
