Vintage Mola cloth handmade by the Guna (previously spelled Kuna) people of the San Blas Islands. Mola is a reverse appliqué technique, similar to the technique used in quilting but using multiple layers of different-colored cloth that are first sewn together before a design is created by cutting away different layers. These cloths are traditionally made in pairs to be worn on the front and back of women's blouses. This Mola features the crucifixion of Jesus. The fabric is in very good condition.

This saddle blanket was woven in Tibet at the turn of the 20th century. This rugs are known as a Makden and were intended to be used under a horse saddle in Tibet. This piece has been woven in two pieces and attached with cotton fabric. Two leather pieces have been woven in to attach the blanket to the animal. Each half features a mandala filled with four bats on an orange ground and a lively blue cloud motif where the halves interface.. The outer border features cloud-bands and auspicious symbols.
