Malayer It features an unusual and very delightful pattern of weaving hands. The hands are featured in six repeating columns alternating with flowers and leaves on a navy field as well as with same design on the icy blue border. Each hand pinches what can be seen as both a vine and yarn to reference the creating of the pattern the act of weaving. Something really different and exceptional that is wonderful celebration of the medium.

This Khamseh rug was handwoven during the second quarter of the 20th century. It features a field of three connected latch-hooked medallions and various rosettes and flowering shrubs floral motifs. Rendered in a vibrant jewel tones of blue, green, red and yellow with ivory and brown accents. An energetic ivory main border is flanked by minor borders of polychrome botehs that sparkle like rows of Christmas lights.
