This Navajo rug was handwoven in the Southwest US during the second quarter of the 20th century.  It features interconnected rosette-like diamonds in black and white on a vast gray field. The gray color is created by mixing different strands of undyed wool. The whole is framed by a thin red border that sawtooths into the gray field.

This Navajo rug was handwoven in the Southwest US during the second quarter of the 20th century.

In very good condition, a different color gray wool is used near both ends which may indicate the length was reduced at some point. Flatwoven, with a light handle.
