Sanjabi Kurdish rug from western Persia with repeating hexagonal medallions in red, blue, green, and ivory on an indigo ground, with geometric borders.

Antique Sanjabi Kurd Rug - 4'1 x 7'2

Regular price $1,450.00 Sale

A striking Sanjabi Kurdish rug featuring a classic lattice of hexagonal medallions arranged in a highly ordered, repeating field. Each compartment contains bold geometric motifs, creating a rhythmic, almost architectural composition across a deep indigo ground.

Woven in wool with a sturdy handle, the palette combines saturated reds, blues, greens, and ivory, with crisp drawing and strong contrast throughout. The borders are richly detailed, framing the field with a sequence of geometric bands that reinforce the overall structure.

Subtle abrash and minor irregularities lend depth and authenticity, reflecting the handwoven nature of the piece and the distinctive aesthetic of Sanjabi Kurdish weaving traditions.

A timeless and highly decorative example, well suited for both traditional and contemporary interiors.
