A richly colored antique Kurdish runner with a dramatic dark field and a vertical sequence of stepped diamond medallions. Each medallion contains a bold four-part floral form, set within a field of angular zigzag bands and small hooked motifs in madder red, deep indigo, soft rose, aubergine, and green.
The rug has a strong tribal character, with a narrow format, saturated color, and confident geometric drawing. The repeated diamond medallions create a clear central rhythm, while the surrounding serrated forms give the field a sense of movement and depth.
Framed by a warm rose border with small stylized flowers, this piece has excellent decorative presence and energy.
