An Indonesian cotton ikat from Sumba with contrasting horizontal bands of deep indigo and warm rust. Stylized animal and ancestral motifs emerge rhythmically across the dark ground, their forms softened by the characteristic feathered edges of the resist-dye technique.
Woven in cotton with a supple hand and finished with traditional end borders and twisted fringe, this textile reflects the graphic language and ceremonial heritage of East Sumbanese weaving traditions.
