Mid Century Hand-Embroidered Uzbeki Suzani Textile - 5' x 6'5

Mid century hand-embroidered suzani from Uzbekistan.

This suzani is composed of red silk with an embroidered design centered around a floral central medallion, with floral sprays in the four corners.A multitude of colors are used for the embroidery, including greens, white, yellow, and purple. A dainty floral border frames the whole. The suzani is backed by a thicker striped grey wool fabric and is bordered with a thick flat woven cord with protective symbols woven into the design. 

In very good condition, signs of wear consistent with age.
