This finely woven vintage Tabriz rug showcases one of the city’s most admired allover designs, featuring an intricate mahi (Herati) pattern that extends seamlessly across the field without a central medallion. Thousands of finely rendered rosettes, serrated leaves, and stylized fish motifs create a mesmerizing lattice of repeating ornament, rewarding closer inspection with remarkable depth and precision.
The soft celadon field is beautifully complemented by warm saffron borders, terracotta accents, and delicate shades of ivory, rose, sky blue, and olive. The balanced palette gives the rug an unusually light, airy character while preserving the rich complexity of the traditional design.
