This Navajo rug was woven in the Southwest United States during the 2nd quarter of the 20th Century.

The design is composed of a single black sawtoothed diamond on a heathered gray field. A central sand toned dash and thin blocks of red on the top and bottom add visual interest and dimension. Uncharacteristically, a red and blue Laleh Abbasi pattern is utilized for the main border and flanked by ivory ground minor borders.
