This rug was woven during the 19th century in Kuba district of the Northern Caucasus

It features an allover geometric lattice design against an indigo backdrop. A nicely spaced red ground main border provides the perfect contrast to the field. Four stylized animal figures can be seen near the bottom of the field.

This Art Deco rug was handwoven in Tientsin, China during the second quarter of the 20th century. 

This Deco rug is quite calm and elegant.  An asymmetric inner border of branches and leaf like shapes in autumnal shades provide substance and balance to the delicate tone on tone patterning found in the the field and around the perimeter.

This Kurdish rug was handwoven during the late 19th century.

It features a weathered pattern of polygons filled with memling guls and surrounded by an inner border of eight pointed stars and an outer floral meander border. Wonky village weave with all natural dyes and hearty wool. The wear showcases the rugs use over more than a century and celebrates it materiality by exposing the handspun warps and wefts.

It features a well-balanced and graphic all-over design in green, teal, brick, beige, canary yellow, and coral on a dark navy ground. An alternating palmette main border on a brick ground frames the composition and is flanked by two minor borders of simple meanders that each use a distinctive blue to a great visual effect. The large scale all-over pattern and vibrant and colorful palette against the navy ground are a stunning combination and very impactful in this size.

It features the classic Heriz design of a graphic geometric central medallion. The navy medallion is flanked by two lovely teardrop medallions on a red ground and surrounded by four ivory cornices that brighten the appearance. This rug was handwoven in Veramin during the early 20th century.

It features a classic mina khani design in a wide array of tones including red, pink, blue, green, purple and yellow which really pop against the deep surmah or blue/black ground. Uncharacteristically, a red and blue Laleh Abbasi pattern is utilized for the main border and flanked by ivory ground minor borders. Laleh Abbasi patterning is almost always used as a guard border around the perimeter of a rug. Other unique details include

This rug features an all-over design of interconnected soft mauve latticework outlined in powder blue on a cream ground. The main border is a wonderful alternating pomegranate motif and the perimeter border features abstracted cloudbands. A perfect showcase of classic Khotan patterning which is a wonderful hybrid of both Central and Eastern Asian design.

Overshot American Coverlet a grid of squares that utilize red and green wefts over an exposed white warp to create various patterns including stripes, diamonds and snowflakes. The grid is surrounded by a border of thin patterning on three sides. The top unbordered section is seamed with cloth indicating the original coverlet was likely longer.The addition of borders showcase the weaver's proficiency and skill. Fine weaving and wonderful contrast give this a crisp feel and eye dazzling visual effect.

This Coptic textile was woven in Egypt or the Levant during the 5th-7th century AD. 

This colorful pieces features a fragment that includes various part of a tree or floral motif as well as multiple borders including matching minor borders of flowering vines and a main border of rosettes and leaves. Very finely woven with crisp rendering and nice contrast.
