Ningxia Rug circa 1800 composed of a central mandala flanked by four smaller medallions over an intricate diamond lattice repeat. With a classic Ningxia palette that includes two shades of blue, brown, ivory, mauve and a desirable imperial yellow ground. The main border design features floral motifs on a mauve ground. The inner minor borders features a Greek key motif and the outer perimeter border features bands of both blue tones.

Framed by a main border of talish rosettes on an ivory ground that is flanked by bent ribbon minor borders. Excellent use of color and contrast give the border wonderful movement and dimension.
