A wonderfully graphic vintage latch-hook rug with a repeating grid of aqua panels, each centered by a playful abstract motif in soft blush, salmon, and deep blue. The warm brown ground gives the composition structure while allowing the almost cellular, biomorphic forms to float across the surface.

This distinctive Ersari prayer rug features an elaborate architectural composition of minarets, columns, niches, and stylized buildings arranged around a central mihrab. Within the large octagonal medallion is a pair of stylized birds, a motif often associated with harmony, protection, and the gardens of paradise. Their presence adds a poetic counterpoint to the rug’s highly ordered architectural design.

A Richly colored tribal rug with a striking double-column format of two tall elongated medallions on a deep indigo ground, each structured around a vertical spine of diamond forms quartered in olive and cream. The m red field between and around them reads almost as a third element, giving the composition an unusual density. Colors throughout are well-preserved with navy, red, ivory, and a muted green that surfaces in the medallion interiors and guard borders.

A superb late-19th-century Shirvan whose design vocabulary is more commonly encountered in Shirvan and Kuba Soumaks. The octagonal medallion-and-panel layout, the dense scattering of small rosettes, and the talismanic latch-hook devices all echo the structural geometry of flatwoven Soumak covers which is here translated into a finely knotted pile format with striking clarity. This crossover of motifs is both unusual and highly collectible, reflecting the deep interchange between pile-weaving and flatweave t
