This vintage anatolian rug features a seafoam medallion on a burnt orange ground with ivory cornices. The field and cornices feature well-structured and nicely spaced burr-like forms. The main border features vegetal forms on the same seafoam ground as the central medallion is sandwiched between matching minor borders of scrolling blossoming vines on an ivory ground.

This Mamluk design rug was woven in India during the 21st century.  It features the distinctive patterning and color palette of classical Mamluk rugs. Mamluk rugs are a type of rug that was woven in Egypt during the 15th and 16th centuries. The graphic central medallion is formed of concentric shapes that gives the rendering a kaleidoscopic feel. Soft but lively tones of reds, blues, golds and greens are both striking and harmonious.

This Heriz rug was handwoven in Northwest Iran during the second quarter of the 20th century.  It features an allover design of geometric palmettes and large serrated leaves in blues, green, coral, gold, black and ivory on an undulating brick ground. All over designs are less common on Heriz rugs which most often feature large central medallions. The main border is composed of a rosette and outstretched arm palmette border on a surmah ground.

Late 19th century Indian Amritsar rug featuring an elegant all-over design of palmettes, detailed blossoming vines, and groupings of curled leaves on a rich crimson ground. The crimson tone utilizes lac which is a dye derived from insects and characteristic of Northern India weaving from both Amritsar and Agra. With accents of gold, wheat, ivory, and pink. The whole is framed by a spectacular turquoise with a wonderful, undulating abrash that even has some moments of soft purple.
